Vintage Fade
Lifted blacks and low contrast for a faded, printed feel.

What this look actually does
- Lifts the black point so shadows never reach true black.
- Reduces contrast and desaturates slightly, which is what creates the faded read.
- Contains no film grain and no vignette. Those are spatial effects that a 3D colour LUT cannot represent.
Best for
Travel, lifestyle and documentary material where a softer print look fits.
Watch out for
Deep blacks in the source will not return. Very dark footage will look washed out rather than faded.
How to use it
- Apply after a correct camera profile so the lift does not fight a bad one.
- Add grain in your editor afterwards if you want the analogue feel.
